Connie Uddo is Director of the St. Paul's Homecoming Center. Connie explains that more than seven years after Hurricane Katrina, the recovery process is not over. According to Connie, St. Paul's Homecoming Center is a "one stop shopping" place situated in the heart of a neighborhood. Neighborhood residents can get a wide range of programs and services from the center-- from computer classes to transportation to mental health assistance--as they face the challenges of rebuilding their homes. St. Paul's Homecoming Center was originally located in the Lakeview area, but as Lakeview recovered, Connie focused her attention on the residents in the nearby Oak Park / Gentilly area, who still need assistance. Listen to hear Connie's experiences, and to learn how you can help.
