Dan Gill
Dan Gill is the LSU AgCenter extension horticulturist. In this spring podcast that follows a severe New Orleans winter, Dan explains how our plants will recover from this winter's hard freezes and gives us tips about what we can do to help them along. Although many plants may appear dead, Dan suggests we wait awhile to see if new growth begins to appear. He also offers a tip that will help gardeners determine if a plant is still alive. Dan gives us some advice on what vegetables we should be planting now and makes recommendations on how to get the best harvest results. Many people begin fertilizing their lawns in the spring; Dan shares some very important dos and don'ts on the best way to take care of a lawn.
