Ewell emphasizes the importance of our restaurateurs and points out that they are valuable seafood ambassadors. He also recounts how Hurricane Katrina affected the seafood industry. When I inquired about Louisiana's seafood production Ewell said, "We are number one in crawfish, shrimp, crabs, and alligator and number two in fish, behind Alaska."
