Father Moody is Pastor at St. Augustine Catholic Church in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans. This historic parish was formed in 1841 and the first pastor was from France. "From it's very inception it was established as a multi-cultural church, where people, both slaves and free were welcomed...", Father Moody says. Father goes on to tell us that the parish holds many firsts, including having one of it's founders--who was also a free women of color-- being considered for canonization.
