Gerald Duhon, Jr. is Chief Philanthropy Officer for Second Harvest Food Bank, Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. Gerald explains what Second Harvest Food Bank does for the community, and where the organization gets the food it distributes. Gerald also describes the demographics of the people Second Harvest serves. Surprisingly, only ten percent of Second Harvest recipients are homeless. According to Gerald, "One in eight people in Louisiana is in need of food bank services." Gerald also tells us about Harvest the Music, the organization's annual series of fundraising concerts that take place in Lafayette Square on Wednesday evenings. The 2011 concert series will run through November 2.
