Jessica Brown is co-founder of Cultural Collision. Several years ago, Jessica and a few of her friends got together to create this special event to introduce the New Orleans community to the city's wealth of local performing and visual arts organizations and educate people about the organizations' upcoming seasons. According to Jessica, Culture Collision 2013 will showcase 65 cultural organizations. Participants range from the New Orleans Opera Association to smaller organizations such as the NOLA Project independent theatre, and Southern Repertory Theatre. This year, Culture Collision will be on August 28, 2013 at Generations Hall. In this podcast, Jessica shares some of the "back story" on how Cultural Collision began and describes where she hopes it will go.
