Leah Chase is the owner and Chef at Dooky Chase restaurant. This podcast is the second in a two-part interview as Leah continues to talk about her life growing up in the country when she was a little girl. Leah tells us what Sunday dinner was like and describes how she made decorations from empty Luzianne coffee cans. She also tells us a story about how her mother made table cloths. Leah and I remember the first time I interviewed Leah in her FEMA trailer in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina, and she explains why she found that time so difficult. She also talks a little about her plans for the future of Dooky Chase and voices her hopes of opening for dinner on Saturday evenings.
