Lindsey McLellan is the owner and Chef of El Pavo Real restaurant. Located conveniently in the Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans, this charming Mexican restaurant has a menu that surprises first-time customers with its authenticity. While Lindsey is not Mexican, her husband is, and many of El Pavo Real’s dishes are inspired by Guerrero, Mexico, her husband ’s birthplace. In this podcast, Lindsey explains that she realized that New Orleans did not have many authentic Mexican restaurants, and tells us why she decided to try her hand at opening one. She also describes some of El Pavo Real’s most popular Mexican dishes and shares her vision for the restaurant.
