Patricia Gay is Executive Director for the Preservation Resource Center (PRC). Many think of preservation in stand-alone terms and do not associate it with economic development. However, Patricia explains how preserving our historic New Orleans buildings and neighborhoods makes good economic sense. In this podcast, she explains in detail how the PRC educates and supports New Orleans home owners and helps them preserve their properties and neighborhoods. The PRC will be celebrating its 40th anniversary at the organization's May 20, 2014 membership meeting at the Saenger Theatre. This event is free and open to the public. GUSTAVO F. ARAOZ, President, International Council on Monuments and Sites, will be the keynote speaker, and THE NEW LEVIATHAN ORIENTAL FOX-TROT ORCHESTRA will provide music. Patricia invites everyone interested in preserving the irreplaceable buildings and neighborhoods that define New Orleans' culture and spirit, to stop by and learn how to help preserve New Orleans.
