Ronald Lewis
Ronald Lewis is the founder and curator of House of Dance and Feathers cultural museum. Ronald explains that The House focuses primarily on the Mardi Gras Indians, but also includes many items from a variety of other southern Louisiana cultures. Ron's museum is located in the lower ninth ward of New Orleans. Ron built the museum before Hurricane Katrina, but in the wake of the post-Katrina devastation, he had to rebuild. Ron reminisces about the items on display in the museum and explains why they are significant, and how they reflect New Orleans' unique culture.
